Racial Discrimination at Work

Racial discrimination at work means treating an employee very harshly based on their color, sex and religion. Under civil rights act it is a crime and may lead to any kind of punishment. Treating the employed people with racial discrimination may cause many problems among employees. They face the problem in their promotions, work compensation, firing, hiring and moreover the get low response and respect from coworkers. Civil rights law 0f 1964 has enacted “equal employment opportunity law “to avoid employee discrimination and employee harassment. The federal law prohibits the racial discrimination at times of training and practices.

 

The views of employees may not be considered by the organization because of racism. This illegal view is strictly prohibited, and also the law says illegal views on employees based on racism are criminal and offensive act. The job policies may not be given due to racial discrimination at work. All employees must be given equal rights. Policies are not given based on the work and also any intentional discrimination is prohibited at work. This law is not only to the working employees but also to the applicants. Payments and benefits should be made based on their working ability. Any workplace harassment may be given to workers due to their illiteracy. The laws for the welfare of employees are also concerned to applicant. The segregation of job should not be decided based on employers sex, religion and color. Also it is offense to segregate an employee from consumers and coworkers based on race.

 

So it’s necessary to give equal rights to all employers and racial discrimination should be avoided to have better relation in the organization. It is also necessary for everyone to abide the rules of civil act.
