What is Title VII of 1964?“The title VII of 1964” is the civil rights framed in the year 1964 and also popularly known as the civil rights act of 1964. It was a statutory law in the United States of America. This act brought down the color, religion, sex, origin or racial segregation in places of education, employment and places of public. Earlier Americans were the people knowing the potential of the protection of the law expected the higher authorities to get the bill passed. Protection of women was the cause for the passing and amendment of the act. The implementation of the civil rights act had a very great impact on the minds of the people of that country. This act was brought in particular to implement certain enforcements like discrimination and right for voting. On implementing this act, the discrimination of people was totally brought down.
Discrimination or racial segregation of people is by harassing them by the way of color, caste and creed and by treating them in a different manner. Henceforth segregation of people became illegal. Therefore people who have become victims of any of those discriminations can file a complaint with EEOC. EEOC abbreviated as Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is an organization which makes the enforcement part of the title VII. Apart from the civil law many other law protect people from segregation by any kind. Exceptions are also a part of the title VII. An employer can take numerous measures against unfair treatment at their work spot.
